Data demands are increasing 3X over the next few years driven by AI, IoT, Quantum, and proliferation of data centers in orbit and terrestrially. Microwave is reaching its physical limits -- it cannot deliver 6G capacity. Fiber carries a huge cost in CapEx and OpEx - from cuts to theft, permitting and construction delays, long revenue recoupment periods, and is impractical for use to space. Both technologies lack security, as they are susceptible to eavesdropping, jamming or interception. The technologies we are deploying right now require a foundation in order to succeed -- the infrastructure must be upgraded.

Wireless Optical is the perfect hybrid technology -- high bandwidth, low latency, hyper-secure with Low probability to detect/intercept, and works in contested environments. Optical is inevitable, and X-lumin is delivering proven, turnkey wireless optical systems for ground to space and terrestrial use by dual use government and commercial customers.
