Cleo Hurt was born in Houston, TX and spent 8 years in dog-friendly Austin, Texas. As a veterinary technician working in animal welfare, she gained experience in many avenues of management. Such as solo & team management, bookkeeping and payroll, ordering and shipping supplies, handling and dispensing medications and customer service. Surprisingly, unlike most in vet med, Cleo loves the people and being able to make a connection with the human that loves their fur baby.
Her dogs Bruce, 11, and Barbara “Barbie”,10, are the driving force behind Brubie’s Indoor Dog Park. While working with owners in the hospital setting, they have complained about exercising their rambunctious dog. She knew there was a need for a comfortable indoor space to frolic and relax with your dog.
Brubie’s Indoor Dog Park will be the place where Cleo can finally see people play in a safe indoor facility with dedicated dog people driving the company.
