We’re thrilled to announce that Well Water Finders® is the 2025 CodeLaunch World Champion!, taking home all three major awards: Judges’ Choice, Investors’ Choice and Audience Choice.

The competition pairs early-stage startups with professional software development teams from the company, Improving, for a fast-paced, high-impact product launch and this year, we were honored to be selected as the world champion, working alongside the incredible dev team at Improving OH/IO.

As part of the CodeLaunch experience, we collaborated with our team to advance the buildout of our groundwater intelligence platform, a next-gen system that will aggregate real-time aquifer data from across the country to help landowners, cities, and water managers make smarter, faster decisions.

Our pitch at the live finals focused on the urgent need for reliable groundwater access in drought-prone areas and how our patented electromagnetic tech is already delivering accurate groundwater surveys to customers across the southern U.S.

Thanks to the support of CodeLaunch and the Fuel Fund, we’re accelerating toward our next milestones and doing it with a growing network of allies, mentors, and supporters.

We’re proud to announce that Well Water Finders has been selected as one of only four startups representing the United States at the CodeLaunch World Championship, the premier global accelerator that pairs early-stage tech companies with professional development teams. As the #1 draft pick for CodeLaunch USA 2025, we’re honored to bring our mission, and our momentum, to the world stage.

Hosted by Improving and backed by an engaged community of founders, investors, and developers, CodeLaunch is not your average pitch competition. The CodeLaunch 2025 World Championship Event is a high-energy experience that combines startup innovation with a hackathon twist.

Being named the #1 Draft Pick means that we’ll be paired with one of the most elite coding teams in the world: OH/IO Improving Ohio. This professional dev team will co-develop and accelerate our technology leading up to the big stage event in November. If you’re a deep-tech innovator, the Texas A&M New Ventures Competition (TNVC) is one of the best launch pads in the country—and this year, Well Water Finders was proud to be named a Top 5 Finalist!

At the 2025 TNVC event, we joined a powerful group of startups from across Texas, each pitching groundbreaking solutions to some of today’s most pressing challenges. We’re thrilled to share that Well Water Finders also took home the Conley Rose, P.C. Legal Services Prize — helping fund our next patent as we continue to innovate in groundwater detection technology.

A Community of Innovators Beyond the awards, this experience was all about connections. We had the chance to meet brilliant founders, visionary investors, and supportive mentors. Special thanks to Austin Technology Incubator and Capital Factory—our mentors who have helped guide us on this journey.

I’m incredibly honored to be named to PitchBook’s list of 109 Female Founders and Investors to Know in 2025—a recognition that goes beyond individuals and speaks to a larger movement we all need to get behind: investing in women.

The data is clear: despite record levels of capital in the market, companies founded solely by women received just 1% of total U.S. venture funding in 2024—down from 2% the year before. That number is more than a statistic. It’s a wake-up call.

As the founder of Well Water Finders, I see firsthand the innovation, grit, and impact women bring. From developing patented technology to helping landowners across drought-prone regions make smarter groundwater decisions, we’re solving big problems. But to scale, we need support.

We’re excited to share that Well Water Finders was named a Top 64 Finalist at Startup Grind’s Startup Mania competition in Miami! A special shoutout to Kat Weaver of Power To Pitch—her expert guidance and support were instrumental in our company being considered!

This global pitch competition brought together an incredible lineup of startups from around the world—and we were honored to be in the mix. While the grand prize went to Juan Lucas Barbier of COBOLpro Corp. (congrats, Juan!), we walked away with valuable connections, insights, and fresh inspiration.

SXSW is all about innovation, and we were excited to be part of the action at Capital Factory House this year! Although our device is still in development, those who attended got a sneak peek at our progress—a milestone moment for Well Water Finders. We showcased our Source Box alongside our latest aquifer analysis software, which brings unprecedented visibility to groundwater trends. With this new technology, landowners, developers, and drillers will have a powerful tool to make more informed decisions about water access.

Manufacturing of the Well Water Finders® 1.0 is in full swing! Thanks to our early investors, production is now underway, led by the renowned Texas-based hardware innovator, PCDworks. With a stellar track record in delivering cutting-edge tech solutions, their team is diving into the build this week.

Simultaneously, we’re advancing the software side with the brilliant minds at The University of Texas at Austin Convergent. This dynamic group of student product managers, engineers, and designers is hard at work on the crucial groundwater analysis platform.

According to Fortune, only 2% of startups getting funded are founded by women. That’s why I’m absolutely honored to be selected by the Women Founders Network as a Finalist in the 12th Annual WFN Fast Pitch Event! It’s really inspiring to see groundwater location tech being included in this innovative group of startups. I’m looking forward to sharing the stage in October with all of these inspiring entrepreneurs!

Well Water Finders is one of less than 100 companies across the nation securing a spot in the third round of the 2024 Pepperdine Most Fundable Companies List. It’s great to see groundwater location getting noticed by the investor community! We’ll keep you posted on the finals.

Groundwater location technology company Well Water Finders has been selected to compete in the Semi-Finals of the Climate Tech Prize during the 2024 EarthX E-Capital Summit. Founders Andrew and Teisha Vandekop will have the opportunity to pitch their company in front of a judging panel which will hear about the latest technologies from a variety of innovators who are making positive impacts on a more sustainable planet.

The invitation-only 8th Annual E-Capital Summit is an industry-leading sustainability investment and business innovation summit that convenes hundreds of global investors, family offices/foundations, innovators, industry leaders, dealmakers, and other innovation & investment ecosystem leaders to help catalyze greater sustainability investment and innovation.

Well Water Finders was recognized as a Land Tech Accelerator Winner at the National Land Conference in March, 2024. Founders Andrew and Teisha Vandekop shared how their patented groundwater location system has helped numerous ranch owners, land developers and real estate professionals determine the location and potential volume of groundwater before water well drilling.

Andrew and I are so proud to share that Well Water Finders has been invited to be a portfolio member of Austin Technology Incubator (ATI) - the deep tech incubator at The University of Texas at Austin. ATI is the longest active technology incubator in the United States and has helped numerous entrepreneurs effectively commercialize their breakthrough innovations and compete in the global marketplace.

The Well Water Finders patented technology locates depth and volume of groundwater down to 5,000 ft. in minutes. Ideal for real estate development, food production, ranching and municipal supply - we are working towards manufacturing portable units that can be used to determine groundwater levels for two important applications: extraction through water well drilling; and ideal placement for aquifer recharge zones to collect harvested rainfall, returning water back to the earth.
